Jonathan has been in practice for 21 years and has owned his own practice since 2005.  He has advised clients and represented them in Ohio trial and appellate courts, the Ohio Supreme Court, federal trial courts and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

In addition to his full-time practice, Jonathan taught appellate advocacy at the Ohio State University College of Law for four years.  He holds a J.D., cum laude (1995) from The Ohio State University College of Law and a B.A., magna cum laude (1992) from Youngstown State University.

Jonathan is a member of the Columbus Bar Association (construction, intellectual property, and small firm/solo practitioner committees), the Ohio State Bar Association (corporate counsel and litigation committees), and the American Bar Association (business law section, forum committee on the construction industry, tort trial and insurance practice section, and fidelity and surety law committee).

Lee is licensed to practice in Ohio. She is also admitted to U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio, and U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio.

Lee McGraw Brewer secured the degree of juris doctor from Capital University Law School (cum laude) in 1989 and was invited to Law Review. Lee also has a Masters in Business Administration from Capital University (1982) and a Bachelor of Science (major – Accounting) from the University of Tennessee (1978).

Before forming Bryan & Brewer, LLC, Lee was a partner in the firm Alber Crafton, PSC, where she represented clients in the Fidelity and Surety industry.  Prior to that, she was a partner in the firm Brewer, McGraw & Associates, where she provided consulting services to the fidelity and surety industry from January 1986 through August 2002. Prior to forming Brewer, McGraw & Associates, she worked in-house for Underwriters Adjusting Co. from 1978 to 1985 where she last served as the Eastern Regional Manager for fidelity and surety claims. Her practice concentrates primarily in the area of Fidelity and Surety Law, construction disputes, D&O and E&O litigation, and Financial Institution litigation.

Lee has been a speaker before the National Bond Claim Association, American Bar Association TIPS/FSLC, National Association of Surety Bond Producers, Fidelity and Surety Claim Institute, Surety Association of Ohio, Fidelity Law Association and RIMS on both surety and fidelity topics. Lee was a contributing Author to “Terminating a Contractor: Three Perspectives,” published in Ohio ConstructionLaw.com. Lee was the Author “Ohio – Contractor’s State License Bonds,” published by the American Bar Association, a co-author of “Claims and Defenses Asserted By Principals or Indemnitor Against A Surety” published by the ASA/TIPS/FSLC in the “Law of Performance Bonds” 2nd Edition 2009, Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Fidelity and Surety Law Committee, and co-author of “Exhaustion, What Does It Mean” published by the Fidelity Law Association 2010. Lee published two papers that are not reflected: “Tom the Piper’s Son – Has He Ruined His Life Forever?” (National Bond Claim Association) and “A Practical Guide to Attorney-Client Privilege and Work Product Doctrine for a Surety” (Surety Claims Institute). Lee is a member of the National Bond Claims Association, where she has served as a past director, the American Bar Association, Tort and Practice Section, Fidelity and Surety Law Committee (“FSLC”) and Forum on the Construction Industry Section, the Ohio State Bar Association, Columbus Bar Association, Surety Association of Ohio, where she is a member of the Board and Vice Chair for Extra-contractual Liability.
